SVAN’s pulsed fiber laser cleaning machines remove rust, paint, oil, oxide films, and other industrial contaminants from metal surfaces without abrasive media, chemicals, or substrate damage. Each machine uses nanosecond pulsed fiber laser technology with selective ablation, so the beam vaporizes the contaminant layer while leaving the base material’s dimensions, microstructure, and surface profile untouched.

How It Works

A pulsed fiber laser emits short, high-energy bursts at a 1064 nm wavelength. Dark, rough contaminant layers (rust, soot, grease, paint) absorb this energy and vaporize instantly, while clean metal reflects the beam. Because the pulse is measured in nanoseconds, heat never accumulates in the substrate — there is no heat-affected zone, no warping, and no metallurgical change. An integrated fume extraction system captures the vaporized particles, keeping the work area clean and compliant.
