SVAN’s pulsed fiber laser cleaning machines remove rust, paint, oil, oxide films, and other industrial contaminants from metal surfaces without abrasive media, chemicals, or substrate damage. Each machine uses nanosecond pulsed fiber laser technology with selective ablation, so the beam vaporizes the contaminant layer while leaving the base material’s dimensions, microstructure, and surface profile untouched.
How It Works
A pulsed fiber laser emits short, high-energy bursts at a 1064 nm wavelength. Dark, rough contaminant layers (rust, soot, grease, paint) absorb this energy and vaporize instantly, while clean metal reflects the beam. Because the pulse is measured in nanoseconds, heat never accumulates in the substrate — there is no heat-affected zone, no warping, and no metallurgical change. An integrated fume extraction system captures the vaporized particles, keeping the work area clean and compliant.

Common Applications
- Rust and mill scale removal on steel structures, tanks, and pipelines
- Pre-weld and pre-paint surface preparation (oxide films, rolling oils)
- Paint, epoxy, and coating stripping layer by layer
- Oil, grease, and hydrocarbon residue removal on machinery and molds
- Post-weld heat tint and soot cleaning on stainless steel
- Mold, die, and tooling maintenance without disassembly
Why Choose SVAN
- Zero consumables: no abrasive media, no chemicals, no disposal fees
- Non-contact process: no substrate wear, no dimensional change
- Low operating cost (electricity + protective lens replacement only)
- CE-compliant Class 4 safety interlocks and fume extraction as standard
- Factory-backed testing: we run ablation trials on your actual contaminated parts before you commit
